Travelers can make their own page, first introducing themselves and then uploading photos and comments on the trips they have done. Everybody can have a look on the others'pages, rate them or start a discussion on the forums which are specialized by country.

Virtual Tourist's website mostly involve western people or when from the thirld world countries, wealthy people, who wnt to discover foreigner countries most of the time in an independent, open-minded way. Most of the questions are pragmatic and .Although, political issues are not far away, people asking for example if Russians are well liked in Turkey ( which was answered in a very historical and political way, even if not always very precise ) or moreoften if american people can still go to this or that place. However, website's owner tries strictly forbids political issues on the forum.
